Wish Me Luck.

Tonight along with two of my best friends I am driving up to Maine. We're going to spend the weekend grilling, laying on the beach, searching for shells and unpacking. I cried quite a bit last night. It was embarrassing.

How adorable is this tote? It is a very sweet going away gift that is going to get lots of use in my new town.

This will be my view.

Jealous? Thought so.

Tired.

My apartment is empty. My feet hurt. I'm exhausted and overwhelmed. All I want is a bubble bath.

And a clawfoot tub.

I cannot believe I'll be moving to Maine in a matter of days!

Moving Day.

Tonight a 10' flatbed truck from Maine will be arriving at my house to unload my life. I'm stressed. But soooo excited! I love big adventures!!! When I was on the subway this morning I read this ad for NYU: Change is the law of life. And those who look only to the past or present are certain to miss the future. - John F. Kennedy

I agree Mr. President, I agree.

Details tomorrow on how it all went!

I Cannot Wait.

I am moving in less than a week. My stress level is ohhhh so high. I have to finishing packing up my place, canceling accounts, paying bills, finalizing plans, selling furniture -- it never ends. I just can't wait to get to my new home and settle in. Perhaps you'll all be receiving cards from me soon. How cute are these?

Vomit.

in my mouth. Why American Apparel? WHY?! I mean, I literally have about 8 of their short jersey v-necks but that's just wrooooong. I physically might produce tears right now.

Printed harem spandex pant (those words never belong together), $42

Completely Gratuitous.

But necessary. Cupcake stands?! Why have I not seen these before? Did I just mutter goo-goo-ga-ga and tickle my computer screen when I spotted them? I think so! I think so! Clearly, I am excited about this.

Cupcake stands, $38.95 for 6

Guess What?

I'm moving to an island off the coast of Maine! In two weeks! I am so excited - I haven't been this excited about something since the Spice Girls reunited! Woohoo!!! I am planning a new blog to post my new adventures. Details on everything leading up to the move will be detailed here. Tonight begins day one of packing, wish me LOTS and LOTS of luck.

Cool Blues.

I have a little DIY project in my future (more on that later) and I think blues and whites will be the way to go. I was inspired by this post at Door Sixteen - especially that dark cobalt door. Sexy.

I'm An Idea Thief.

These napkin invitations are so brilliant and adorable. I would feel so special getting one of these in a mail. They deserve a frame. I am definitely sending invitations this way the next time I have a formal BBQ or clam bake!

Spotted via Oh Happy Day!

Mama.

Aren't Mother's day weekends awesome? Here are some highlights of what I did.

Filling the car with lotsa flowers to plant!

And A Special Shout Out To...

my Mom. She is the funniest, coolest, supportive Mom in the whole wide world. I know a lot of people say that - but my Mom really is.

She is going to kill me for putting this photo up. But it's hilarious. She doesn't actually wear sunglasses like these - but perhaps she'd be even cooler if she did.

Home.

Headed to spend Mother's day with my family for the weekend. Have a good one.

And tune in on Monday - I have a hu-uge announcement to make!

Elephants.

These majestic creatures (did anyone see the 60 minutes doc? wrench my heart!) are amazing. I can't remember how I stumbled upon this etsy shop, I feel someone deserves credit for finding it but can't quite remember who when I bookmarked it. Apologies. These prints from Suspect Shoppe are so lovely.

whole hearted elephant, $30 each

NYC In The Rain.

The other night I sat on my front stoop and watched a monsoon take over the city. This is what it looked like at midnight. I think New York is magical in the rain.

At least my landlord's flowers are getting some love.

My apologies for such grainy photos. Wet weather doesn't do well with my camera.

Set Design.

Sometimes when I watch movies, I get caught up in how beautiful the homes are decorated and lose track of the plot. I'm weird like that. Others in my industry have said similar things and make me feel less of an oddball.

When I saw Rachel Getting Married I (excuse my french) lost my shit. The interiors are amazing. I can't find photos online that do this movie justice - but rent it if you have not seen it. You'll be inspired.

Right Frame Of Mind.

I am totally stealing this idea I found over at Apartment Therapy's house tour. This came from Caitlin's Beacon Hill studio.

Don't you love how she's placed smaller frames over large canvases of art? Pretty smart Caitlin, preeeeetty smart.

Happy Notes.

On a rainy, icky, annoying day - these are a few posts that perked me right up.

Food in Maine.

A lovely hammock date.

A his and hers routine that made me tear.

The homes in this contest. I'm not worthy.

That is all. Oh and this photo. Because I miss giggling with my BFF on a daily basis. And if I could carry her in my pocket, I would.

Hot Wheels.

Over the weekend I witnessed a woman crash into a jewelry store on her motorcycle. Luckily, she was wearing a helmet and though the store did not fare well, she seemed to be okay. With that said, I will be spending most of my summer on the back of a moped. It is time to find a proper helmet.

Such as a gold sparkly number like this one??
