Queens.

I used to live in Queens. It holds a special place in my heart. That's why I love these pillows from this fabulous shop that I used to live near. This would be an excellent Christmas gift for me. (In gray.)

Today.

I wish I was going home for Thanksgiving so I could see my beloved Watson. I love watching his ears perk up when he looks out the window.

I know I should be talking turkey but all I can focus on is all the sequiny, feathery, blingy clothes I can wear for holiday parties!

I Need A Hero.

What you are about to read is a true tale. Last Sunday I left my wallet at a gas pump, realized it too late and it was gone by the time I returned for it. There was lots of cash in it, credit cards, my license, my life! After canceling all my cards and chalking it up to my own idiocy, I moved on.

Yesterday, over a week later, I got a picture message from my boyfriend of my wallet. I couldn't believe it. He was in a McDonald's and spotted it on a homeless man. He went over to him and politely asked if it belonged to him or if the wallet he had was found. The man claimed it was his and didn't seem to want to talk about it any further. Lobsterman then told him that if he didn't hand it over, he'd break his f!@#$ing legs. Needless to say, he handed it over and EVERYTHING (minus the cash) is intact.

My man is a HERO!!!!

Detoxing.

Ladies. I am in detox mode.
I am exhausted, exuberant and happy with how my weekend went. But I'm too tired to blog or even look at photos. Here is a very telling photo taken from my friends cell phone in order to capture how ridiculous I looked.
Please note that it's 9a.m. and I have a ginger ale and a street pretzel. I'll post details as soon as I'm back to life!

Invites.

Now that the weekend is almost here, these are the invitations I ordered for the bridal shower and bachelorette party. I used Wedding Paper Divas and they were fabulous. They send proofs, there was tons of promo codes and they came quickly. Since I needed to order so many invitations, this was a cheaper but still GORGEOUS option for invites. I highly recommend.

I will be crying a lot once this weekend is over!

I Wanna Go Red.

I am totally into kooky celebrity style. Lately, I've been obsessing over Rihanna. Her bright red hair and her brightly colored ensembles are killer. She's making me want to take more fashion chances. Here's some of my recent favorite RiRi looks.

You May Not Know This.

I'm obsessed with Oprah. It's her farewell season and I tape every episode. Every night when Lobsterman comes home and I'm in tears, he asks me to shut off Oprah. She gets me everytime. Tears of joy or tears of heartache, that woman tugs at my soul. On a lighter note, her new drink of choice is the Moscow Mule and I am going to make it my signature drink as well. Here's the recipe.

Moscow Mule Recipe

1 ounce vodka
1 tsp. sugar syrup
Fresh lime juice
1/2 cup ginger beer
1 sprig fresh mint
1 slice of lime

Directions
In a copper mug, pour vodka over ice. Add sugar syrup and lime juice. Top with ginger beer and stir. Garnish with mint sprig and lime slice.

A wine glass, $1.95

Sometimes.

Sometimes it really is the little things in life that make me happy.

Like spotting my favorite gum at the convenience store.

Getting new shoes in the mail.

Funny photos of my boyfriend eating.

Wednesday Wisdom.

My Heart Knows Not What It Wants.

There's been lots of talk surrounding clogs lately. I think Miss Hoboken did a good job at defending them - but I'm just so torn. If liking these are wrong, then I might just have to be wrong. I can't decide if I love them or hate them. Help?

not terrible...

Blast from the Past.

While perusing etsy for vintage romance novels (long story) I came across these. WHOAMYGOD! Did anyone of you read these slightly trashy tween books growing up? And then develop your tastes for the Sweet Valley High books - which totally included way too many steamy car make-out sessions. Do I need these?

Bow.

I think I want to start wearing a bow in my hair again. I rocked it in '89 so I'm sure I can rock it again. Besides, if Zooey can make it look cool, then it is cool.
