My absolute favorite people are visiting from NYC this weekend. It has been warm and lovely in Maine but this weekend? It might just snow. It doesn't matter though. I have been counting down their visit since I got here!

Bacon Cake

My lobsterman has an addiction to bacon. It seriously is a problem. A) It's not the healthiest food and B) it's not the healthiest food, so I do hope to nip this problem in the bud one day. Until then, I shall prove my love by making this cake.

Well, yesterday was the first day of Spring. And it was raining. And today it's snowing. Good grief. It's a wonder I even know what month it is with all this crazy weather.

It's raining a gale outside and I walk to work. Bad weather tends to dampen my mood in the morning (literally and figuratively) but last night I dug out an umbrella from my closet to prepare. This umbrella is my new best friend. The GustBuster!



It's not the prettiest parasol on the planet but it didn't flip inside out or make me struggle in the least bit. I am pleased. I might even leave my desk for lunch today because of it!

With Spring comes a lot of new beginnings. For me? I'm starting a new job today and turning 26 this week too. I'm glad I get to ring in new changes with some warmer weather! Yayyyy!
