One day - ONE DAY - I will get to go to the Milan Furniture Fair. Until then it is just a dream and I anxiously await for the Times' coverage of it each year. Check out their slide show here. One of my favorite pieces is this Brave New World lamp by Moooi. It was constructed without a plan and each piece of wood is notched and pegged together. Brilliant.

Big Blossoms.

I am stealing this idea from Emily. Well, not the 70's themed baby shower, but the dress she found over at Forever 21. I love it. I think I'm going to be all about the maxi dresses this summer.

My favorite section of Portland is Munjoy Hill. I have friends that live there in fabulous apartments. This is a great print inspired by that part of the city. Although, I must say, it's very unrealistic to show no cars parked on the street. It's always the bane of my existence to find a parking spot when I visit.

Munjoy Afternoon, $20

Jamie Drake.

I love the interior's from designer Jamie Drake. I admire how heavily his rooms are influenced by art. I myself have decorated rooms around pieces of art. (My living room colors came from this) And sigh - I have always wanted a canary yellow living room. Check out his portfolio here.

Got 'Em.

These plates are designed by Ben Morris, a SCAD student, and they are super cool. I'm glad they're melamine because it means I can't break them.

Need for Speed.

I want a moped SO BAD. I am frantically searching Craigslist to feed my need. It has to be under 50cc so I don't need a license. (I've been doing some research.) Anyone wanna sell one to to me?

This blog's inspiration.

Isn't he the CUTEST? We had a very good time together over the weekend.

Beach Bum.

I had such a lovely weekend laying in the sun, hanging out with my BFF and eating an inhuman amount of ice cream. Hence why I wore a one-piece to the beach. Now all I want to drink is lemonade or iced tea. It feels like summer and any other drink seems so passe.

Perfect Lemonade Recipe

* 1 cup sugar (can reduce to 3/4 cup)
* 1 cup water (for the simple syrup)
* 1 cup lemon juice
* 3 to 4 cups cold water (to dilute)

1 Make simple syrup by heating the sugar and water in a small saucepan until the sugar is dissolved completely.

2 While the sugar is dissolving, use a juicer to extract the juice from 4 to 6 lemons, enough for one cup of juice.

3 Add the juice and the sugar water to a pitcher. Add 3 to 4 cups of cold water, more or less to the desired strength. Refrigerate 30 to 40 minutes. If the lemonade is a little sweet for your taste, add a little more straight lemon juice to it.

Serve with ice, sliced lemons.

Serves 6.

Serve in this pitcher, on sale for $10.

Full House.

I am a huge, huge fan of Mary-Kate Olsen's style. The girl is literally responsible for oversized sweaters, slouchy bags, messy hair and skinny jeans. Seriously. She is a style maven and I bow down to her on a daily basis. Now she just needs to stop wearing (real) fur in order to be perfect.

And duh, she blogs. More amazing shots here.

Warm Weather.

It's going to hit 80 this weekend. I am oh so excited. I'm going home to do some crafting, beaching, and eating with my BFF. What are you doing?

Photo by me. You know you have a nice boyfriend when you get surprised with desserts, a chick flick you've been wanting to see and a set of vintage glasses that you had previously drooled over (and regretted not buying) after a bad day at work.

Festival Fashion.

Oh how I envy everyone that got to go to Coachella. Love the slide show of fashionable ladies over at So bummed I am missing Dr. Dog and Fleet Foxes!

Best. Movie. Ever.

Watch the trailer here. I hope to buy this and watch it all weekend long.

Priceless, $26

Waiting Room.

While perusing Carrier and Company's portfolio - I noticed this lobby. How chic - how classy - how...nerve wrecking it would be to await an interview there!

But of course. It is the waiting room over at Vogue. Makes sense really.

Latte? Cappuccino?

Whatever it is - I love this. Spotted here. Such a great print!

Next year my best friend and I are planning a trip to Chile, Peru or Argentina - we're not sure what route we're going to take yet. Has anyone been to any of these places? Any suggestions? I personally want to see Machu Picchu.

I wear a scarf almost everyday. I probably own around 30 ranging from heavy wools to vintage silk. I think they add to any outfit. I've actually had strangers stop me on the street to ask me how I tied my scarf (okay it only happened once but I will forever have an ego because of it.) My next idea is to start tying giant bows around my neck. Thoughts? Watch this video for even more scarf tying tricks.

Peppermint scarf, $16

I spotted these posters over at Abby's blog and I fell in lo-lo-love. They remind me of prints my middle school French teacher used to have up in the classroom when we were just starting to learn words like "pomme" and "les arbres". Je les adore. (I think that's correct...? Je ne said quoi.)

Oh La La.

My next installation of girl crush: Betty! She rules my world. I discovered her blog a year ago and have followed her like a devout school girl. Her style is edgy yet attainable. And she has a penchant for sequins that I admire. Oh and she's French. Need I say more?

Visit her blog here.

Yes. You can own this handwoven iron wire drum side table - for cheap. It does not fit in with my decor (too cool - sigh) but if I had a porch, it would be seated next to a hammock for my lemonade. Can somebody buy this? Please? And send me photos of how it looks in your home? Much appreciated.

Hive side table, $45, on sale

I stumbled upon this portfolio by photographer Jack Radcliffe chronichling his daughter - from a very young age through her rebellious teenage years. The photos are so personal, you'd never believe her Pops was able to snap them. He also kinda lucked out because his daughter just happens to look like a supermodel.

Cash Value.

I have had this little project bookmarked for so long - and I have yet to make them. These coin purses would be the cutest little gifts and they seem so easy to make. This weekend already seems too jam packed to do some crafting but I need to pull out my sewing machine soon and crank out a few of these.

Petal Mettle.

I so wish I had been able to go to the Cherry Blossom festival in D.C. I bet it is BEAUTIFUL! Check out their bloom watch here. I think they might be one of my fave spring flowers (tied with yellow tulips and hydrangeas -- oh and ranunculas). I wish I had this little ring to fill the void.

Girl Crush.

In lieu of my 100th post, I am installing a new tradition every Friday - girl crush. I'll be boasting about a lady whose blog on the web makes me weep a little because I could never be so cool. First up is my ULTIMATE (and I mean ultimate) lady crush. Karla. I admire her wardrobe and pretty much wish I had her hair on a daily basis.

Visit her blog here.

In honor of my 100th post - here are some items that have been on my imaginary wish list should I ever come across some extra money and be able to splurge inappropriately. But of course these are all under $50. Happy birthday blog! You are oh so good to me.

Hung Up.

A necessity for the hallway, bathroom or bedroom - decorative wall tile hooks. And for the price - I could organize almost every coat I own. (That is a big lie. I have an extensive collection).
