Never type "shoes" into etsy. It's just a bad, bad idea. And never EVER precede that with "vintage".
I'll take you.
Might as well toss you into the shopping cart while I'm at it.
Oh, for God's sake.
This ain't right yo - this ain't right.
Oh fab. Gucci for under $40. No big deal or anything.
It hurts so good.

Laugh Out Loud.
Here is a list of a few blogs I am obsessed with right now.
The Lovesome - Uh. Just read it. You'll pee your pants. I'm not exaggerating either. Her shopping trip to get soap had me in stitches.
Cupcakes & Cashmere - I know I'm behind in finding this blog, but I am obsessed with her cool style and laid-back attitude. And girl can coooooook!
Atlantis Home - If I can be like her when I grow up and have an equally cool daughter, I will have succeeded in life.
Sprouted Kitchen - I tend to just look at the amazing photos, but one day I will cook something.
And on a totally unrelated note all together, I saw Shutter Island over the weekend against my will. Go see it. Oh and bring a hanky because it has the saddest scene I've ever watched in a movie EVER.

Flying Frugally.
An absolutely essential read if you're a frequent flier like myself. The Times did a great article on how complicated airfare is nowadays - but I have bookmarked this article for future reference.
And bring this to relieve stress once you're actually seated on the plane.

Liberty of London.
Target is unveiling the new Liberty of London line with some teasers on their site. Casa Sugar posted some products that will be launching. I would like to line my entire windowsill in those floral pots! Love!
Make-over.
I love this simple living room redo in Real Simple. It's amazing what paint and fabric from Ikea can do. And speaking of living room redo's...I'll post some apartment photos as soon as I can find my camera cord. Hmmm....

Fash Faves.
I'm no fashion blogger by any stretch - but I do become obsessed with perusing style.com during fashion week and I definitely miss working near Bryant Park when the tents are up. Here's a few of my fave looks from the Spring collections.
Chanel: Mostly for this hat but also for always putting out frilly feminine pieces rather than clownish creepy stuff (I'm talking to you Marc Jacobs)
Matthew Williamson: The combo of neon yellow and pink - and the shape of the skirt. I think I'd wear this whole look. Maybe not in Maine though...
Cynthia Rowley: Even though she always churns out girly dresses - they always have a little sinister, a little off-beat edge to them.
Proenza Schouler: I loved the refined surfer look on their tie dye pieces.

But More Importantly...
Today is my Mother's birthday! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MAMA! This woman deserves a medal for raising me and two others, along with taking such good care of my Father and the family dachsund. There are many reasons to love her, but here are a few:
1. She sits by you until you fall asleep when you're sick.
2. She brings you cookies on a tray when you come home to visit.
3. She listens to you moan and complain on the phone for hours without interrupting.
4. She writes funny songs about you that convince you she is in the wrong profession.
5. She loves us infinitely - even when we are super annoying and forget how great she is for even the smallest fraction of a second.
Love you Mama. Wish I was with you today!

Terrarium.
Sorry Jill my dear. Stealing this idea. I have plenty of ball jars and my empty windowsills are in desperate need of some green.
Something Ain't Right.
There's snow on the ground in NYC - but not in Maine. I love how NYers avoid it and can still wear Manolos in the snow. Personally, I wear these.

Umbrellas.
I loved umbrellas before Rihanna made them a hit. (Sidenote: I totally died when she become a Totes spokesperson. Just sayin'...) I'm spotting a lot of umbrella-related items that I would really like to own.

Maybe the cutest stitched print ever

Big News.
Guess what? I will be blogging regularly over at Charles & Hudson as a new team member. It's probably the coolest DIY blog out there, so, no big deal or anything.
Check it regularly since it's a seriously inspiring blog- and especially posts by me! Ha!

Moving Is Tiring.
Hello from amidst the boxes. I've spent most of the morning cleaning my closet and unpacking. Currently I am seated at a couch without it's cover and watching my TV on top of milk crates. I can't wait to get some furniture in here. I'll ease back into blogging with a simple question - which rug for the living room?
This?

Back in Maine.
Hi kids. I'm back in Maine, currently sitting in a coffee shop with a super grande chai, trying to work on some writing. The apartment is not quite equipped for internet yet, so I feel very bohemian living in Maine and doing work in a we-brew-our-own-small-batch shop. I'll post regularly as soon as humanly possible.
kisses.
