Blast from the Past.

While perusing etsy for vintage romance novels (long story) I came across these. WHOAMYGOD! Did anyone of you read these slightly trashy tween books growing up? And then develop your tastes for the Sweet Valley High books - which totally included way too many steamy car make-out sessions. Do I need these?

Maine Artist.

Have any of you ever read books by Dahlov Ipcar? Dahlov was born in NYC but moved to a farm in Maine back in the '30s where she's lived ever since. I find her children's books so beautiful - worthy of framing.

DIY Maven.

I'm sure you know all about P.S. I Made This - the coolest, most accessible DIY blog I know - and I am thrilled that there's a book now too. I can't wait to get my hands on it! I am still waiting to make these.

Reading.

On Monday I walked in the rain to the library and checked out two books I've been dying to read. The Imperfectionists and Extemely Loud and Incredibly Close. There is something about drizzly, wet days that make me want to curl up with a good book.

I got this book from my best friend for my birthday. It's a cute read from start to finish.



What's your fave children's book? My all-time favorite is probably this. Or these. Oh man, and this.

Dictionary.

Such a beautiful book. Featuring over 1,500 engravings that originally graced the pages of Webster's dictionaries in the 19th century, this is total eye candy for designophiles like myself.

I'm so glad Indian design and style is booming. I'm excited to pick up this book, Made In India, to get inspired by their current pop culture as well as some of their more vintage pieces - like this Bollywood poster.
