guess the decade.

soooo this is what i wear when i'm sunning myself. you know, because i like to pretend it's 1985. i feel that would have been my peak year had i not been one years old.

oh well. oh and the suit is for sale. this was meant to be a modeling session but i just...couldn't...take it off.

Quick Question.

Why is J.Crew channeling Luke Perry circa 1994? Just curious.

On Collecting.

According to Nate Berkus, everyone should collect things. So I am going to start. Because I always listen to Nate Berkus god dammit!

Elephant Teapots - Okay so I already own two of these for some reason. So I think this is a smart starter set.

Limoges cups. Also pretty tea cups and moustache cups in general.

Shoes. What? I am certain that can count as an acceptable collection.

Glitz.

I know I should be talking turkey but all I can focus on is all the sequiny, feathery, blingy clothes I can wear for holiday parties!

I Wanna Go Red.

I am totally into kooky celebrity style. Lately, I've been obsessing over Rihanna. Her bright red hair and her brightly colored ensembles are killer. She's making me want to take more fashion chances. Here's some of my recent favorite RiRi looks.

My Heart Knows Not What It Wants.

There's been lots of talk surrounding clogs lately. I think Miss Hoboken did a good job at defending them - but I'm just so torn. If liking these are wrong, then I might just have to be wrong. I can't decide if I love them or hate them. Help?

not terrible...

Bow.

I think I want to start wearing a bow in my hair again. I rocked it in '89 so I'm sure I can rock it again. Besides, if Zooey can make it look cool, then it is cool.

Tulle.

I was recently inspired by this post and have been desperately seeking a tulle skirt ever since. I want to look like a modern ballerina. I did find two options that I enjoy. One costs $16, the other costs $340. Can you guess which is the pricey one?

Happy Feet.

I spotted these socks on Say Yes To Hoboken and fell in love fairly fast. The head over heels sort of love. Ha! Get it?

Street Style.

One of the reasons why I'm so drawn to fashion street photography is because it's so accessible. Take for example this photo.

I own that exact shirt and never in a million years would have though to pair it with a cheetah print skirt. But I adore the look. Moreso than if it was on a model that can make a brown paper bag look good. I am consistently inspired by these blogs and I'm glad they exist....!

Got any good street style blogs or personal style blogs to share with me?

Spring Fling.

A few stand-outs (in my VERY humble opinion) from the limited NYFW coverage I've seen thus far.

Love this blouse and high-waisted short combination from Rebecca Taylor

A stand-out palette from Tommy Hilfiger

The braids, the necklaces, the clothes and shoes in Lela Rose's line. Loved. It. All.

All Time Favorite.

I remember the first time I saw this editorial - and it remains my favorite fashion spread of all time.
