Wowza.

I am majorly inspired by designer Kate Schintzius' West Hollywood abode, spotted here. I am taking lots of design cues from her for my future home.

Dream Office.

I would love to turn a closet into an office. I hate paper clutter and files being out in the open, so an office I can hide away sounds great. Now if only I had the closet space...

Entry.

I'm trying to piece together a nicer entryway to our apartment...especially now that Lobsterman has made us a beautiful console out of reclaimed wood. I think this would hang oh so nicely over it.

It says "home sweet home" to me, don't you think? How was your weekend? I spent 16 hours in a car but it was worth it to attend a sweet wedding.

Yay Or Nay?

I have always wanted to wallpaper a bathroom. Preferably in a bold almost cheesy print as seen in this house in Country Living.

Thoughts?

Could You Handle?

A super bright kitchen? Sometimes I think a bright kitchen would inspire me to cook. Or at the very least, inspire me to spend more time there.

Boudoir.

My next bedroom is going to look like this. Remember! I will recreate this look. I love it that much.

And some more baby blues, here, too.

Art Wall.

Though I'm pleased with my gallery of art for now (considering we have a small space) I'd love my living room to have art lined up like this. Beautiful.

Peeks.

I don't usually like to post too many personal photos of my home and life. But I've been inspired lately to "open up" to the blogosphere. Also, I unfortunately am not a blogger with a fancy camera who can somehow style their dinner every night and make it look beautiful. Sigh. That thought exhausts me though I'm envious of the people who can. Anywho, I'll post some random shots of my home from now on. Promise. (But don't expect them to look good!)

This is my window seat in our bedroom. Lobsterman wanted to line it with plants but I begged him to let me use it for people watching and writing. I'm waiting for a giant piece of foam to get custom cut so I can decorate it soon. Until then, it's just me, my pillows, my old laptop and the folks in the street. (See how horrible I am at styling? I didn't even fix the blind or tidy up!)

Rugs.

I have a weird fascination with rugs. I love them. I think they define a room in a home. I have beautiful pine floors throughout my apartment, original to the building, but I've covered parts of them with a rug.

I stalked this Nate Berkus rug on Home Shopping Network. Guilty! Got it for $42. Don't hate. It's in my living room.

I actually inherited this rug from a photo shoot - otherwise I can't afford Company C. It's in our living room.

Striking Images.

If you haven't picked up the April issue of Architectural Digest, you're missing out on editor's picks of their favorite images from the magazine. Each and every one amazing.

Make-over.

I love this simple living room redo in Real Simple. It's amazing what paint and fabric from Ikea can do. And speaking of living room redo's...I'll post some apartment photos as soon as I can find my camera cord. Hmmm....

Branch.

Everytime I check out what's new over at Branch Home, I'm positively delighted. It is my go-to place for fabulous gifts.

It Doesn't Look That Complicated.

Be still my heart Nancy Meyers. Meryl Streep's house in It's Complicated blew me away. Although she wanted a kitchen remodel in the movie, who the hell would want to knock down this? I must find out who the prop stylist was. (Also, Alec Baldwin eating lavender ice cream by the tub made me laugh so hard- HILARIOUS!)

Paint.

We're moving into a brand spankin' new apartment unit, which means, I can't paint. The only good thing is that the gray walls (I LOVE GRAY) are great. There is one accent wall in the living room that's a mix of robin's egg blue and teal. I'm not in love with it but at least it isn't orange (which some of the other units had!) This post from Apartment Therapy is inspiring me to get creative with gray. LOVE the pops of red in that bench.

Hot Dog.

My dear Father got me these bookends for Christmas. I'm madly in love with them and cannot WAIT to find a home for them in our new pad. WHICH, by the way, we will hopefully be signing a lease for tomorow. Wish me luck!
